On April 19, 2024, Dr. Dean Nicholas, Head of School, announced that a generous donation by the Lindner family would fund the new Christopher D. Lindner Family Stadium Complex on Founders’ Campus.
Since then, tremendous strides have been made on the construction of the complex, which will serve as a multi-purpose facility for soccer, lacrosse, and softball teams. In June, July, and August 2024—while students and faculty enjoyed a much-deserved break—crews got to work, breaking ground and clearing the field next to Founders’ Campus for the beginnings of the newest addition to CHCA’s family of facilities.
“If you have pulled onto Founders’ Campus this year, you’ve probably noticed that our construction work is moving along on the Christopher D. Lindner Family Stadium Complex,” says Dr. Nicholas. “This facility will host all soccer, lacrosse, and softball competitions beginning with the 2025 spring seasons. With the help of good weather in the fall, we hope to complete the project by the end of February. Currently the dugouts are completed for softball, the walls are going up for the locker room building, and the retaining walls will soon be constructed. The turf is expected to be laid in October.”
Plans are also underway for branding and signage inside of the complex. Student-athletes and spectators alike will experience a clean design and facilities that will push CHCA’s teams to the next level.
“We are excited to watch the progress and have put systems in place with our builder to create the least amount of complications for conducting drop-off, pickup, and the school day activities,” Dr. Nicholas says.
