Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy seniors signed their letters of intent to commit to playing at the next level near year. The Signing Day ceremony took place on Wednesday, February 1, at 7:30 a.m. at CHCA’s Martha S. Lindner Upper School.
Ananya Annapantula of Mason signed to play tennis at Middlebury College located in Middlebury, Vermont. Annapantula was the team captain, MVC Player of the Year as a freshman, and received several sportsmanship awards throughout multiple tennis tournaments. She was part of the State Championship team, was an Individual State Doubles Championship finalist, received the John Harlow Sportsmanship Award at the OHSAA State Tournament, and was the Super Nationals Doubles Championship (Gold Ball) winner. “Ananya has been an unbelievable leader and teammate,” shared CHCA Head Girls Tennis Coach, Matt Dektas. “She has a super positive and inclusive mentality and helped lead us to the State Championship this year. It was incredibly important to have her leadership on a team with a lot of super freshmen. Ananya has landed at one of the top D3 schools in the country and we could not be happier for her!”
Caroline Beckes of Cincinnati signed to play volleyball at Centre College located in Danville, Kentucky. “Caroline is an amazingly technical setter with one of the best work ethics of any athlete,” shared CHCA Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, Janna Stephens. “She has been a wonderful example for younger setters in the program. Caroline is resilient and has had to fight through numerous injuries but is now healthy and ready to shine in college over the next four years. She will be critical to the Centre College team.”
Casey Boeckerman of Loveland signed for track and field with Taylor University located in Upland, Indiana. As a softball player, Boeckerman decided to pursue track and field and become a two-sport spring athlete her junior year. “Casey will always be my go-to for showing that the two-sport athlete works,” shared CHCA Head Varsity Track and Field Coach, Jeff Timmers. “She has only had one year of long jumping and her stats show just how dynamic she is as an athlete.” Boeckerman’s junior year included multiple first place wins, multiple school records, MVC Champion, District Champion, Regional Qualifier, State Qualifier, and 4th place All-State.
Katharine Clayton of Montgomery signed to play volleyball at Muskingum University located in New Concord, Ohio. Clayton was a starting varsity libero for two years at CHCA. She was a multi-year All-MVC Player and was a standout in the league and district. “Katharine has a wonderful attitude and brings joy to her teammates,” shared Stephens. “She is dedicated to being a great volleyball player and will be an integral part of the team at Muskingum University.”
Kierstin Hillis of Mason signed to play lacrosse with High Point University located in High Point, North Carolina. Hillis was team captain for two years and two-time Under Armour All-American. She was selected for the USA Development Team, which was the final group of the top 66 girls in the nation who were selected to try-out for Team USA U18. Hillis was 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, All-Academic Ohio, and was “Best in Class” at an invitation-only National Event “Best in Class” in December 2022. She has over 135 career goals, over 40 assists, and ranked 16th in the state of Ohio for goals her sophomore year. Hillis is on the Under Armour Senior All-American Watch List. “From the time I’ve known Kierstin, I’ve seen nothing but hard work,” shared CHCA Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach, Sam Mlkvy. “Day in and day out, she is the one out on the field, no matter what the weather is, working to get better. Her hard work and dedication will help her in the next level. Playing at any level is hard, but I know that she will compete with the best and help place Cincinnati on the lacrosse map. We wish her nothing but luck and are excited to see what she can do at the next level.”
Parker Hon of West Chester signed to play baseball with Muskingum University located in New Concord, Ohio. Hon is a three-year varsity letter earner, part of the 2022 MVC Championship, the 2022 District Championship, and is a 2021 State Champion. “We are really excited about Parker’s senior season and are looking forward to him taking an important leap forward for us,” shared CHCA Head Varsity Baseball Coach, Tony Schulz. “He has done a great job leading by example, showing the younger guys in our program what it means to prepare and to work, and I’m really proud of him for that.”
Amanda Hurry of Maineville signed to play lacrosse with the University of Indianapolis located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hurry was team captain, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, and 2nd Team All-State. “Amanda is a hard worker and coachable,” shared Mlkvy. “We are very excited to have her on the team this year as she is a natural born leader. Amanda will help the team be successful in the upcoming season. We are excited to see her play and see what she will accomplish in the coming years.”
Chrissy Kolar of Morrow signed to play softball with Thomas More University located in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Kolar is a three-year varsity letter winner and 2nd Team All-MVC for two seasons. “Chrissy was a leader and an anchor for our team, and she would always play her best wherever she was,” shared CHCA Assistant Varsity Softball Coach Cody Bishop. “She always put in extra work with the freshmen after practice, or if anyone needed any pointers, she was always there to help.”
Logan Ottke of Morrow signed to swim at the University of Missouri located in Columbia, Missouri. Ottke was a two-time MVC Swimmer of the Year, MVC Champion eight times, MVC record holder, District Champion three times, and is the 100 Breaststroke 2022 State Champion. He has also set 11 school records. “Logan is a ‘serve everyone else first, me last’ person,” shared CHCA Head Swimming Coach, Don Rielag. “The example he provides in his selfless character will shine as his most impressive accomplishment.”
Will Saxby of Loveland signed to play lacrosse at Taylor University located in Upland, Indiana. Saxby earned 1st Team All-MVC, 1st Team All-Region honors, was team captain as a junior and is poised to have a breakout year as a senior. “We are incredibly fortunate to have Will in our lacrosse program,” shared CHCA Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach, Quinn Collison. “He sets the standard for hard work on and off the field and leads with his actions daily. Will embodies our core values as he is disciplined, selfless, and tough in all aspects of his life. Our entire program could not be prouder of his efforts.”
