CHCA is thrilled to announce that Dr. Jon Clark has been appointed as the school’s new
Director of Entrepreneurship & Sustainability.
Dr. Clark's extraordinary combination of corporate, startup, and scientific experience will elevate CHCA’s already robust program to new heights. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Butler University and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University. His professional journey spans work at Dow Agrosciences (now Corteva Agriscience), Procter & Gamble, and as a Senior Director at a startup, Emerald Cloud Lab. In each position, he has successfully blended his expertise in science with an innate gift for business to drive ingenuity within established organizations.
At CHCA, Dr. Clark will oversee a wide range of entrepreneurship electives, the greenhouse, and student-run businesses that are foundational to the Entrepreneurship & Sustainability program. CHCA has around 400 Upper School students involved in the program each year and also provides programming for Grades K–6 at both the school's North Campus and downtown Armleder Campus. In alignment with CHCA's mission to prepare students for lives of impact, Dr. Clark will focus on three key initiatives: creating a compelling vision for the next chapter of the program, leveraging entrepreneurs within the CHCA and greater Cincinnati community to broaden opportunities for students, and exploring new science-integrated programming for the greenhouse.
Dr. Clark’s ability to combine innovation with faith emphasizes that entrepreneurship is not merely about launching businesses, but about stewarding God-given gifts, solving real-world problems, and making a meaningful impact rooted in Christ. CHCA is confident that under his leadership, students will continue to be inspired, challenged, and equipped to explore the compelling intersection of faith and entrepreneurship.
“I am so grateful to be joining CHCA and the E&S community,” Dr. Clark said. “I believe there has never been a bigger need for Christian wisdom, discernment, and shepherd leadership in our communities and businesses. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to pour into CHCA students of all ages and help grow their understanding of our calling to be set apart as leaders who reflect Jesus and who innovate using a Kingdom mindset.”
As Dr. Clark steps into this important role, Mr. Graham Bowling, the school’s current Entrepreneurship teacher, is being promoted to Assistant Director of Entrepreneurship & Sustainability. Mr. Bowling will continue to teach a wide range of Entrepreneurship & Sustainability courses and will oversee the pilot of the new AP Business Principles course. CHCA is proud to be one of the few high schools in the region selected by the College Board to pilot this cutting-edge academic offering.
Dr. Clark will assume his new role at the beginning of the 2025–26 school year.
