CHCA Seniors Serve Random Acts of Kindness Around the City

While times have been rather difficult for seniors at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy due to loss of a dear friend and peer, loss of a beloved teacher, and the COVID-19 crisis fallout, several students are making it their mission to continue to place their focus not on what they have lost, but onto the needs of others, blessing others during this challenging time.
One example is through the service of CHCA seniors Ainsley Droege and Catherine Fraser. The two students found creative ways to bless others during this time by leading a weekly Random Acts of Kindness** group on Zoom. Every week, the group of around 12 students in grades 9-12, spend time writing letters to one or two different places and then hand delivering the letters along with Servatii pastries.
“Cat and Ainsley are two seniors who always impress me,” shares CHCA Outreach Coordinator Karen Hordinski. “They consistently emulate kindness and encouragement to others. Over the last four weeks, they have inspired their peers to join them in writing cards and letters to first responders in the community. Their efforts are not work in their own eyes-it’s who they are-they love making sure people know they are appreciated, loved, and cared for. And we know at this time, the work they are doing is more important than ever.”
**If you are a CHCA Gr 9-12 student who wants to join in, you can find the Zoom link on your Canvas announcement page. They’d love to have you join!
