Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is pleased to announce that grade 7 student, Angelia Schmerr, has qualified to represent Ohio in the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Schmerr competed in the CHCA Spelling Bee in January before advancing to the Regional Spelling Bee held in late February. Due to coronavirus concerns, this year’s regional contest was held online. The test consisted of 25 spelling words and 25 vocabulary words.
“Angelia is simply an outstanding student,” shared CHCA Upper School Assistant Principal Holly Metzger. “She goes well beyond expectations.”
Schmerr advances to the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which will be held near Orlando, Florida on July 8, 2021.
Congratulations to Angelia and good luck!
