TriloGy for CHCA Women (Meeting Times Vary)
At CHCA, TriloGy is a community of women who Gather (together), Grow (to study God’s Word), and Go (do life together serving and loving others). Last year, over 140 women in our community experienced the joy of meeting and growing together in CHCA's fourth year of TriloGy. Every woman in our CHCA community is invited, whether you are new to CHCA, have been around for years, or are returning as an alumni or alumni parent. And all are welcomed, regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey.
How does TriloGy work?
- Each woman who signs up is placed into a TriloGy group for the school year, based on availability and/or group leader request.
- Each group meets weekly in someone's home or other mutual location, doing three different studies during the school year. Meanwhile, all the other CHCA TriloGy groups are meeting and studying the same content.
- Each woman has the opportunity to grow in community with her smaller TriloGy group while also studying the same content as many other CHCA women – connecting us all in a wonderful and powerful way.
What do we study and what does the year look like?
In addition to doing these 3 studies as a community, we also come together to serve, worship, and celebrate what God is doing in our lives. Our theme this year is Experiencing God. It is our prayer that this theme will spur us on to rootedness as we stand firm in the Lord and abide in Him as we trust in His hope and promises. We are confident they will serve as both challenging and insightful for us. The studies (linked in the titles below) and timing for the year are:
- Fall Study: "Isaiah" by Melissa Spoelstra (this 7-week study, accompanied by ~20-minute videos, will run the Week of September 23 - Week of November 19). In this study, we will:
- Learn to trust God for who He is and how He reveals Himself in Scripture.
- Grow in understanding of the Book of Isaiah and its prophecies.
- Grasp how Jesus fulfills the promises in the Book of Isaiah and discover peace in God’s commands, character, and comfort.
- Winter Study: "He’s Where the Joy Is" by Tara Lee Cobble (this 6-week study guide is accompanied by 10-minute podcasts and will run the Week of January 13 - the Week of February 24). In this study, we will:
- Discover and better understand an intimidating doctrine that is so vital to our faith.
- Explore the Trinity as a whole and examine the role and work of each Person of the Trinity individually.
- Understand how to apply the truth of who God is in the Trinity to your everyday life and how you can relate to Him.
- Spring Study: "Awe of God" by John Bevere (this 7-week study guide with optional book is accompanied by 15–20-minute videos and will run the Week of March 10 - the Week of May 5). In this book we will see why Godly fear is the foundation of:
- Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, foresight, clarity, and divine direction
- Maturity and conformity to the image of Jesus Christ
- Building an eternal legacy
- Confidence, fearlessness, security and freedom from the fear of man as all lesser fears are eclipsed
