For 27 years we have celebrated the God-given gifts of our students in the visual and performing arts. ArtBeat is a day-long, all-school celebration of the Arts. It’s a fun-filled family event featuring student performances, student artwork, artist demonstrations, hands-on-art stations, and great food!

Congratulations! The following performers have been selected to perform at ArtBeat 2025. We can’t wait to see you on stage again in April! The dress rehearsal and performance schedules will be posted on the ArtBeat homepage on 2/24/25 along with the volunteer signups.

ArtBeat Festival Choirs (Lower School Gr K-3)

No registration is required—all K–Grade 3 students will participate in ArtBeat. The music will be learned during class, and a dress rehearsal will take place on Monday, 04/07/25.

What's next after auditions?

Step 1: Once Selected Auditioned Performers are posted, email any conflicts for dress rehearsals or the day of performance to Mona.Summers@chca-oh.org by the specified deadline.

Step 2: Submit Music/Sheet Music by the deadline.

Performance Track: Must be free of double tracking (no lead vocals—back-up vocals only).
- Digital Submission: Send as a .mp3 or .wav file. Rename the track using the student’s name (not the song title) in this format: lastname.firstname.mp3 for solo auditions, or a list of last names for group auditions (e.g., bunyan.edwards.lewis.piper.mp3). Email the file to artbeat@chca-oh.org.
- CD Submission: Bring a labeled copy of your CD to your dress rehearsal. Ensure your name is clearly written on the CD.
Sheet Music for ArtBeat Accompanist: Required for performers/groups highlighted in yellow on the recording schedule.
- Digital Submission: Email a copy to Anna.Brink@chca-oh.org.
- Physical Submission: Drop off a copy at the MSL Campus in an envelope labeled Attn: Anna Brink.

Step 3: Attend Scheduled Dress Rehearsal: Follow all dress code guidelines for the rehearsal.

Volunteering

Volunteer: ArtBeat relies on the support of more than 350 volunteers to bring this event to life! Volunteer sign-up forms will be available March 18, 2025.

Parents are required to work one shift (90 minutes) for ArtBeat if their student is selected to perform.

*All volunteers, including students in grades 9–12, must have fingerprints on file with CHCA before their first volunteer shift. If you have not been fingerprinted at CHCA, please schedule an appointment at the Welcome Center by emailing Judi Davis at Judi.Davis@chca-oh.org. See CHCA Fingerprinting Policy below.

Provide Baked Goods: Help stock the ArtBeat Bake Sale with delicious treats! Proceeds from the sale will directly support the CHCA Arts program.

ArtBeat Veteran Tip: Be sure to check your child's performance time before signing up to volunteer—we wouldn’t want you to miss their moment on stage!

*CHCA Volunteer Fingerprinting Policy

To ensure the safest environment for our students, CHCA requires all volunteers to be fingerprinted prior to their first volunteer activity. This includes classroom helpers, event and front desk volunteers, party helpers, coaching and theatre volunteers, field trip drivers (Grades K–3), trip chaperones, and regular visitors to our buildings. It also applies to Grade 9–12 students who will have contact with minor children while volunteering in a CHCA-sponsored camp or activity. Fingerprint checks are valid for five years.

To schedule your five-minute appointment (available between 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.) at the Welcome Center (8283 E. Kemper Rd, 45249), email Judi.Davis@chca-oh.org at least 14 days before your intended volunteer date. While most background checks are cleared within 14 days, it can take up to 30 days to process. To avoid delays, please plan ahead to ensure results are received in time for your start date.

Please bring the following to your appointment:

A valid driver’s license or another form of identification (if you do not have a driver’s license)
Grade 9–12 students may use their CHCA Student ID or a passport if they do not have a driver’s license. Students will also need to bring a signed Parental Permission form and know their Social Security Number (SS#).
