xArtists Guided Studio

Grade Levels: 5 with prior instructor approval
6-8 with no approval needed
Purpose: Do you ever wish you had time and space to create art? Do you have creative ideas but need an extra push to carry them out? Would you like to learn new techniques and use high quality materials? Students work on guided projects after techniques are demonstrated.

Guided Studio will be process oriented. Like music or dance lessons, our focus is improving skills while working on various techniques.

Practice Schedule: Tuesdays from 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. - Attend as your schedule permits
Location: Founders' Campus Art Room
Competition / Display Schedule: Opportunities to enter competitions and for public displays
Cost:
  • Purchase a studio package of 5, 10 or 15 classes and attend as you can
  • Purchase more studio time when you need to
  • Studio packages valid for current school year only
  • Siblings may share a package
  • Most materials provided, students may need to bring additional supplies for unique projects
    • 5 classes -- $60 ($12 per class)
    • 10 classes -- $100 ($10 per class)
    • 15 classes -- $135 ($9 per class)
Anticipated # of Students: Minimum 5 - Maximum 15 per week
Expected Parent Involvement: None but parent volunteers to assist in clean-up are welcome!
Notes:
  • Students and instructor will collaborate to set a schedule of techniques that provides a framework for the guided studio
  • Students may bring a snack to eat before 3:30, no eating is permitted during studio time
  • Students learn from the instructor, personal involvement, and each other. We encourage students to stretch, experiment and enjoy art making
