Dance Academy Showcase - Sunday, 05/19/19, 5:00 P.M. Dance Academy Registration Coming Soon The 2019-2020 Dance Academy registration is opening soon (no later than 06/01/19). Starting with the summer choreography classes, all practices will be held at our NEW CHCA Dance Academy Studio located at 7815 West Chester Rd, West Chester! Our dancers and their families have been volunteering their time with the renovations of this great building, which offers two studio spaces! Thank you to the Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) for their considerable investment in the Dance Academy Program for the 2019-20 school year.
EJO Alumni Return and Perform At Concert The audience last Saturday, 05/11/19 got a surprise bonus at the Electric Jazz Orchestra Concert. Rory Crabbe and Tyler Swedes organized former EJO players to return and perform a few numbers. The group rehearsed Saturday afternoon, and gave a fantastic performance. Several other alumni also attended the concert. Anne Phelps On Monday, 05/06/19, Evan Flagel, Sam Hoyer, Collin Jung, Ben Paris, and Ben Sanders, all members of Encore, volunteered at The Sheridan at Mason and gave an hour long performance to the residents there. The residents loved their performance of a cappella music and invited them back to sing again! Thank you for sharing your gifts and enriching the lives of the residents at The Sheridan. Anne Phelps Many of you know that Cincinnati boasts its annual May Festival. Founded in 1873, it is the longest-running choral festival in the Western Hemisphere. We can boast that our own Carolyn Hill will be featured in "Seven Last Words From The Cross" by Scottish composer Sir James MacMillan. Carolyn's duet is within the III movement. The concert is 05/18/19 at 8:00 p.m. at Music Hall. Ticket information can be found at www.mayfestival.com. Anne Phelps On Saturday, 05/25/19 at 7:30 p.m., the Encore seniors will sing the national anthem before FC Cincinnati takes on the NY Red Bulls in Nippert Stadium. Everyone is welcome to attend the match, support the seniors, as well as FC Cincinnati, and have a wonderful evening together. Tickets are $19.50 per person, after the per ticket handling fee is applied during the process. Tickets can be purchased at the Group Portal Link.
