Anne Phelps We are pleased to have six professional artists and four award winning students demonstrating their talents at ArtBeat 04/13/19. We're thrilled to present Gary Brooks, watercolor artist, who also has designed and produced multi-media events, built sets, sculpted props, and taught students. He is a featured artist on "Painting with Masters" on public broadcasting. Gary's watercolor and egg tempera paintings are in private and corporate collections. Returning this year is Amanda Hollinger, who teaches beginner and intermediate potter's wheel at Queen City Clay. She will have some of her pieces on display and available for purchase. Amanda is a favorite with students as she is wonderfully engaging. Tammie Lyon is an award winning author and illustrator of numerous books for children. On the performing side, we will have Shawna Wingerberg, owner of Antonio Violins, who is the fourth generation of her family to make music or art as her profession. Shawna will be sharing the intricacies of building a violin. Always a favorite, this year Tim Hilderbrand, our US 9-12 art teacher, will bring his air brush and reveal all the nuances in this medium.
