CHCA Dance Academy – A "Class Act"
The CHCA Dance Academy had a great opening at the Revolution Talent Competition held 02/01 – 02/03/19 in Indianapolis, IN. Training and rehearsing since August, the students' have put in countless hours preparing and their hard work, both individually and as a team, paid off bringing home multiple Platinum awards, the highest possible.
In their first year competing in the Musical Theater category, the number, "This is Me", received a Platinum award and 2nd overall in its division. It also received a special Entertainment Award!
"My Girls" small group jazz number won a Platinum award and 3rd place overall.
"Birthday" small group jazz won a Platinum award, and 1st place overall. It was also a Golden Ticket winner and the highest scoring Intermediate Routine of the competition!
Finally, the best award of the weekend was the Class Act award that the CHCA Dance Academy has won for the 3rd year in a row, at three completely separate competitions! This award is chosen by the competition staff and given to the studio who demonstrates the most team spirit, respectful interactions, and encouragement to other dancers in the competition throughout the weekend. We feel so honored to receive this because it represents character and not just dance ability. We are so proud of our dancers!
