2019 Regional Scholastic Art Awards
We are pleased to announce the results of the 2019 Regional Scholastic Art Awards. Six CHCA students submitted entries in multiple categories and together they earned 30 Awards (ten Gold Key Awards, eight Silver Key Awards, and 12 Honorable Mentions)! Our congratulations go out to Jacquie Clayton (Gr 11), Megan Lutts (Gr 12), Kendall Matsey (Gr 12), Gabe Schmidt (Gr 12), Sidhu Thunga (Gr 12), and Grace Vanderwoude (Gr 12) for their exceptional work. An exhibition of all winning selections opens Monday, 01/28/19 at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, 1212 Jackson St., Cincinnati, OH 45202, and runs through 02/08/19. There will also be an Awards Ceremony held at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts, 108 W. Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45202 on Friday, 02/01/09 at 8:00 p.m. for Gr 11-12 recipients. Gr 5-8 Musical "Mary Poppins JR." Nearly Sold Out
The wind is shifting and Mary Poppins will be flying in this weekend! There are a handful of seats available for "Mary Poppins JR." and we expect a sold-out crowd for all four shows: Friday, 01/18/19 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, 01/19/19 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, 01/20/19 at 3:00 p.m. Purchase your tickets now at SeatYourself. A Sweet Deal!
FOFA is sponsoring A Spoonful of Sugar raffle through the run of the Gr5-8 Musical "Mary Poppins JR.", 01/18/19 – 01/20/19. You'll want to scoop up these raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three delicious prizes. First prize is a $150 Gift Certificate to The Bonbonerie, and second and third prizes are a $50 Gift Certificate to 3 Sweet Girls Cakery! Tickets can be purchased at the FOFA table during each of the shows, and the drawing will occur Sunday, 01/20/19 after the performance (winners need not be present). Raffle ticket Pre-Sale Order Forms are available on myARTS Links. Tickets are $5 each, or five for $20. Pre-Sale Order Forms should be returned to the Front Desk at your student's building by Thursday, 01/17/19. Simply fill out the flyer and enclose it with your payment (cash or check made out to CHCA) in an envelope marked "ATTN: Fine Arts", and turn it in at your Front Desk. The FOFA Fundraising Team will fill out your raffle tickets for you and submit the stubs for the drawing.
All raffle ticket purchasers (including Pre-Sales) will receive a homemade chocolate spoon, so stop by the FOFA Table during the show to get yours! All proceeds will go to support the Fine Arts program.

Students in Gr 4-6 who are interested in acting can explore and/or further develop their talent at this upcoming extracurricular camp.
