Greenhouse Triptych

The US 9-12 Stained Glass Class revealed their triptych 12/11/18 that has been permanently installed in the greenhouse.  The three pieces have a total measurement of approximately 3' x 6' and represent the lifecycle of a plant from seed to pollinator to fruit. The students could not have been more excited to dedicate their piece and see it as it was meant to be seen:  with the sun shining brightly through it!

Doc Savage stated it best during the dedication that it also represents our walk with Christ.  In the first panel, seeds that are planted during our faith journey grow and mature.  The middle panel  represents community that surrounds us and helps us to grow in our walk.  And lastly in the third panel, as we mature and develop in our walk with Christ, we bear fruit.  The Celtic knot that surrounds the piece is a nod to Doc's heritage as well as the Trinity.  If you look closely, the vine consists of three strands.

This piece is the 12th stained glass window to be created and installed at the Upper School 9-12 campus.  May the "Legacy of Light" continue!

Peace and Merry Christmas,

HiLdY

Congratulations to Charleigh Wright, a seventh grader, who was invited to sing the opening of  "Once In Royal David's City" with the Thomas More University Choir.  The performance was part of the TMU Lessons and Carols concert last week.

Students at the Northminster Co-op Preschool in Finneytown had fun with some of our Encore singers last Saturday, 12/08/18.  Encore students cheerfully volunteered to sing Christmas Carols for the preschool's Breakfast with Santa event.  Their beautiful voices blessed the children and their families.

The Eagle Ensemble spent last Friday, 12/07/18 spreading Christmas cheer in downtown Cincinnati.  The students went caroling and dropped by their friends at Armleder to sing for them too!
