Buses will transport students at 12:15 p.m. after exams and return by 3:15 p.m. Cost: $25 covers Panera box lunch/bus transport/skating/skate rental. Tickets will be sold 12/04-07. Bring own money for Graeter's ice cream if desired. Announcement Following are the plans in place specifically for Upper School Grades 9-12: Communication of a delay, closing, or an unplanned early release due to weather: If school is officially delayed or closed or students will be released early for weather, the school messaging system will be used to contact families using the phone number(s) you provided when opting into the system. Local news and radio stations will also be notified and communicating that information for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
Kathie Baxter Naviance is a valuable guidance tool that assists students with self-exploration, career information, and college planning during their Upper School years at CHCA. Recently Gr 8 students had the opportunity to identify some of their stronger talents by taking the Strengths Explorer assessment. Parents may become acquainted with Naviance by logging on using their student’s username and password. Front Office Monday, 12/17/18: 9-10:30: Language Arts 10:45-12:15: Foreign Language Exam Tuesday, 12/18/18: 9-10:30: Math 10:45-12:15: Christian Studies Wednesday, 12/19/18: Make-up Exam day only; students who have completed exams DO NOT need to report to school. If students need to be dropped off at 7:55 a.m., there will be designated study rooms available. All students need to be picked up each day at 12:15. No ASR these days. In case of a weather closing on exam days, Wednesday, 12/19/18 will be used as a make-up day. Front Office NJHS is collecting donations 12/03-07 targeting 9-18 year olds. Please send in NEW items. Some ideas include: Sports equipment, board games, perfume sets, jewelry, purses, DVD's, watches, clothing, etc. Cash donations also accepted. Teresa Null The annual CHCA Geography Bee for Grades 4-8 will be held on Tuesday, 11/27 at 3:30 in the 7-8 Innovation Space at Founders’ Campus. Students have signed up at school for the Bee and all spots are currently filled. However, students may get on the wait list by contacting Mrs. Null. An email with important information will be going out this week to participants and wait list students. Please direct any questions to Mrs. Null. Students only need to be present for exams if they have an exam for that bell; for example if your student has lunch fourth bell they do not need to be at school during the second exam period on Thursday. Please note there will not be bus service at early dismissal time for the Upper 9-12 students. Students will be kept in their exam rooms for the entire exam period. Please be sure your student brings quiet reading or studying in case they finish an exam early.

WEDNESDAY, 12/19/18 EXAM MAKE-UP DAY: Wednesday is designated as a possible snow make-up day. In the case of snow on 12/13/18, 12/14/18, 12/17/18, or 12/18/18, Wednesday 12/19/18 will be used to administer exams for bells 5 and 6 which were pushed back due to the snow day. If there is no snow day that moves exams to Wednesday, students do not need to come to school on Wednesday, 12/19/18.
