Parents of UE students are invited to come hang out and chat with Mr. Sideris on Tuesday, 10/23/18, 1:30–2:30 p.m. in the UE cafeteria. This is an informal time to reflect on the past quarter and ask questions while enjoying pie provided by the UE. We look forward to seeing you!
Mrs. Kathie Baxter, school counselor for Gr 4-8, will be available to conference with parents Wednesday, 10/24/18, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment please email her at Kathie.Baxter@chca-oh.org, request a time, and she will respond with a confirmation. If that evening is not convenient, Mrs. Baxter is also available for appointments on regular school days.
Lost and Found is located in the cafeteria. Please have your student check for any jackets, sweaters and other uniform items. In addition, there are books, lunch bags and water bottles waiting to be claimed. All items will be in Buckman Commons for you to check through during parent-teacher conferences. All items remaining after Thursday, 10/25/18 will be donated.

On Tuesday, 11/13/18, 9:15 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Gr 4 students will engage in multiple math and science standards while taking in the excitement of a Cincinnati Cyclones hockey game! Register your student Grade 4 Cyclones Field Trip.

Be watching your home mailboxes for a special invitation to ‘Donuts with Dr. Nick’ on Saturday, 11/03/18, just before CHCA’s Open House from 9:15-10:00 a.m. Grade 6 students/families are invited to join us in the Upper E cafeteria for some Holtman’s donuts along with a presentation by CHCA Upper School principal Dr. Dean Nicholas, who will share some of the great experiences to look forward to in CHCA’s Upper School. Know a friend who might be interested in learning about CHCA? Be sure to bring them with you-we’ll have plenty of donuts to share and special take-away items!

This week’s Beacons of the Week are the H2O for Life Student Organized Service (SOS) group and the student and faculty participants of this year’s Shantytown, as featured in the Lead Article. These Upper School participants spent this past weekend learning about and building awareness of the water crisis and homelessness in our city, country, and throughout the world. Please join us for Priscilla Shirer's "Gideon". The study will encourage you to recognize your weakness as they key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weakness, learn to see them as gifts given specifically and strategically by God. Would you consider placing an Open House sign in your yard to help spread the word about our Open House on Saturday, 11/03/18 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.? A visual reminder is a great way to welcome new families to explore CHCA! Pick up a yard sign at the front desk of your student's building. If you have any questions, you may email Tammy Rosenfeldt.
Please consider volunteering with us for Open House at the North Campus and Armleder on Saturday, 11/03/18 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. A variety of volunteer roles are needed and there is a place for everyone to join in the fun! Hospitality, greeters, and tour guides are all needed. Together we can introduce CHCA to the many students and their families who will visit the campus for Open House. Come share in the fun! Registration is now open for you to log onto CHCA’s Pick A Time scheduling system to book your preferred times - this is on a first-come basis! The sooner you log on and schedule your time with your teachers, the more choice you have. A confirmation will be sent via email as soon as you make your appointment. Scheduling for conferences will close on Monday, October 22 at 8AM.
