Sarah Koopman and Matthew Pacheco will be featured in The Young Artist’s Preparatory Program's Opera Showcase in June 2018.  YAPP is Cincinnati’s premier opera apprentice program for high-school students taught through the Musical Arts Center. YAPP is composed of a group of extremely talented singers who have been working hard for nine months to prepare the annual showcase performance. The 19 participants come from all over the Tri-State area, representing 12 different high schools.  This year's Showcase also features six of the semi-finalists as well as the winner of The Cincinnati Arts Association's Overture Awards held in early 2018! 
Sarah and Matthew auditioned by preparing two full length classical pieces and a monologue. Students were chosen based on their intellectual, interpretive and performing abilities, musical skills, maturity and integrity.
The program will include selections from Operas, Operettas and Musical Theater by Mozart, Johann Strauss, Jr., Gilbert and Sullivan, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Verdi and more.
Performances take place at the Anderson Center on:
Thursday, 06-07-18 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, 06-09-18 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, 06-10-18 at 2:00 p.m.
