This week we highlight all the students who performed in Thursday’s concert. It takes a lot of synergy to pull off a concert, and we are proud of the effort by all the students and staff!

Congratulations to Miyah Derrickson and Ms. Griswold, the winners of our first Habits at Home challenge! Habit 2 is Begin with the End in Mind--Think about how you want something to turn out before you start it. Goal setting is an important skill for success. Set a goal. Then, break it down into small manageable pieces. A great example is a puzzle. You study the picture. Then, you sort pieces. Perhaps you’ll do the edge first. Next, you may find all the pieces of one color, and so on step-by-step until it is complete.

Thank you very much for the parent volunteers who helped with the Kindergarten and Preschool screenings.  You were a great help to us, and we appreciate you very much!

The 2017-2018 yearbook is on sale through tomorrow, Friday, 03/16/18. Yearbooks are $13 and can be purchased by filling out the order form or purchasing online. If you are using the order form, please fill the form out completely, put cash or a check made out to CHCA inside the pocket, and seal the form. If you are purchasing online, please go to www.schoolannual.com and search for CHCA and then select Armleder Campus from the list of schools that pops up, select the yearbook, and complete the order online. Spiritual Life Emphasis Week is 3/19/18-3/22/18, 8:00-8:45 a.m. We will gather as a school each morning for worship, prayer, and to focus on the fruits of the spirit. There will be a special Student Council planned Chapel, on Thursday 3/22/18, 1:50 -2:45 p.m. to end the celebration. Please join us!

Spring Picture Day is Wednesday, 03/21/18.  Students having their picture taken will need to have the form with payment.  Look for order forms with your child’s classroom newsletter or contact donna.furtwengler@chca-oh.org.

Pajama Day is 3/22/18. Students will wear their favorite pajamas to school that day. 

For those who may have missed “Donuts with Dr. Nick” at the Open house; a similar presentation introducing Upper School will take place on Tuesday, 03/20/18, 8:00 a.m. at Founders' Campus Conference Room. Come have coffee and bagels and meet Dr. Nicholas.

This past week rising Gr 6 families were invited to meet with Gr 6 teachers to learn more about the overnight fall 2018 Gr 6 PVM Camp. If you were not able to make the meeting, details can be found by clicking on Gr 6 PVM Camp 2018. Steps to registering on UltraCamp and setting up payment are included. To avoid a $25 late registration fee, register by Thursday, 04/05/18. 

Armleder students will join the north campus students for a fun-filled day of hands-on learning and activities on Friday, 05/18/18, 8:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.  Please follow the link to register your student and pay the $25 fee no later than 04/18/18.  If you have questions, please let Ms. Ellis (sheri.ellis@chca-oh.org) know as soon as possible.  Additional information about this trip will be included in future communication, so please stay tuned.

The 2018-2019 FACTS application needs to be completed now.  Your 2018-2019 financial aid calculation/scholarship is based on this report, so please make this a priority. This application requires you to submit your 2017 tax return, W-2.  There is a $37 application fee.  Go to https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3XHLD.  For questions, contact DeAnne Vallo at deanne.vallo@chca-oh.org.  The application deadline is Monday, 04/16/18.

EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion applications need to be completed as soon as possible. The 2019 Expansion application window will close 04/30/18 and will not reopen.  Any renewal or new Expansion application not submitted by 04/30/18 will not be considered for funding.  For questions, contact DeAnne Vallo at deanne.vallo@chca-oh.org.

Standardized testing for grades 1-6 will take place the week of 04/23/18.  Please do not schedule appointments for your child during this week.

The Cum Laude Scholarships are significant awards which recognize academically gifted students with proven achievement as demonstrated on the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE).  Current grade 6-8 students who would like to be considered must take the ISEE. The exam is offered on Saturday, 04/07/18 (registration deadline 03/17/18).

The Beacon Scholarships recognize promising leaders who embody our school mission to fully prepare students for lives of significant impact and influence. Current grade 8 students interested in being considered for The Beacon Scholarship should follow the application process. 

We will recognize our scholarship recipients in early May, so interested students must take the ISEE on 04/07/18 and/or submit their application for The Beacon Scholarship no later than 04/01/18 to be included in the scholarship recognition.
