We are coming to the end of our two-week challenge, so  post how you and your family are using Habit #1 in your household by using the hashtag #AHAH!  Every time you post using the hashtag, your family is entered into a raffle. CHCA Armleder Faithwalkers synergize! On Saturday, 03/03/18, CHCA Armleder Faithwalkers were the opening act for the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc.’s Gospel Brunch.  The Faithwalkers, under the direction of Mrs. LaGina Burton received a standing ovation from over 500 guests in attendance.  Way to lead, Faithwalkers!

Kindergarten Screening is tomorrow, Friday, 03/09/18, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  Preschool Screening is next Friday, 03/16/18, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  Thank you to those who are volunteering to help us with the screenings.  We really appreciate you!

On Monday, 03/12/18, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Grade 7-8 cafeteria at the Founders' Campus (north campus) regarding our annual grade 6 fall camp trip. Each September, all grade 6 students go to Pleasant Vineyard Ministries in Camden, Ohio, for two days/one night of fun, worship, and team-building activities led by CHCA teachers. Your child will experience outdoor Chapels with a guest speaker, high-adventure programs, nature studies, challenge courses, a campfire, and more! Registration opens in late March.

EdChoice testing for grades 3-6 will take place the weeks of 03/12/18 and 03/19/18.  Standardized testing for grades 1-6 will take place the week of 04/23/18.  Please do not schedule appointments for your child during these weeks.

On Wednesday, 03/14/18, all students in grades 1-3, ACC, and Faithwalkers, will travel to the north campus to practice for our concert. All students must have a packed lunch. Students will return to Armleder by 2:00 p.m.

The next GiPGiT gathering is Wednesday, 03/14/18. Students in grades 4-6 must have a packed lunch. We are going to Washington Park for an outreach opportunity, and our leadership habit “Seek first to understand than to be understood” is the theme. Join us on Thursday, 03/15/18, 7:00 p.m. at MSL High School Lindner Theater for Sing! Say! Dance! Play a celebration of how your children are learning to reflect God’s creative nature! This program will feature students in grades 1-3 and ACC as they share songs and dances they have learned in music class. Each piece has clear examples of student creations. This concert is a graded requirement for all students in grades 1-3. More details will be communicated by Mr. Rhodes with the email subject line of “Lower E March Concert Details".

The 2017-2018 yearbook is on sale through 03/16/18. Yearbooks are $13 and can be purchased by filling out the order form or purchasing online. If you are using the order form, please fill the form out completely, put cash or a check made out to CHCA inside the pocket, and seal the form. If you are purchasing online, please go to www.schoolannual.com and search for CHCA and then select Armleder Campus from the list of schools that pops up, select the yearbook, and complete the order online. Please join us for this year’s Spiritual Life Emphasis Week, 3/19/18-3/22/18. All are invited to our daily morning Chapel services at 8:00 a.m. Our theme this year is Be Fruitful. We will spend each day focusing on two of the fruits of the spirit found in Galatians 5: 22-23.

Spring Picture Day is Wednesday, 03/21/18.  Students having their picture taken will need to have the form with payment.  Look for order forms with your child’s classroom newsletter or contact donna.furtwengler@chca-oh.org.

SpringHill Day Camp (Gr 1-6)
CHCA is once again partnering with Montgomery Community Church for the 07/09/18 - 07/13/18 camp which includes small group Bible teaching, high-energy large group sessions, and adventure such as archery, bungee trampoline, camp songs, climbing wall, crafts, and more. Each year we review our merit scholarships to ensure we recognize our students who excel academically and/or make an impact on our school community. The Cum Laude Scholarships are significant awards that recognize academically gifted students with proven achievement.  Current students in grades 6-8 who would like to be considered must take the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE). The exam is offered by the Admissions Office on the following dates:
