After winning the school Geography Bee in November against 35 other contenders, Noah has now qualified for the State Geography Bee! On that will be held on Friday, 04/06/18. Noah and his family will travel to Columbus where he will compete along with up to 100 of the state’s best young geographers. One winner from each state will then be invited to compete in the National Geographic Bee in Washington D.C. Good luck, Noah! We are so excited for you to represent our school! 


UE Office

On Monday, 03/12/18, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Gr 7-8 cafeteria regarding our annual Gr 6 fall camp trip. Each September all Gr 6 students go to Pleasant Vineyard Ministries in Camden, Ohio, for two days/one night of fun, worship, and team-building activities led by their CHCA teachers. Your child will experience outdoor chapels with a guest speaker, high-adventure programs, nature studies, challenge courses, a campfire and more! Registration opens and payments begin in late March.


UE Office

On Friday, 3/16/18, 6:00-7:30 p.m., Mr. Sideris will host this Gr 4-5 Father-Son event. Attendees will enjoy pizza, competing in games for fun and getting to know other father-son teams. Gr 6 boys can apply to be game hosts and partner with dads. Gr 6 boys should see Mrs. Baxter to complete an application to be a game host. Details and registration instructions can be found on the Upper E Socials page of the my Lower School web page. Student attendees should have an adult male guest with them. 


Fine Arts Office

Spring training is in full swing and you know what that means - time to get your Reds tickets with the Melody Makers! Join us early at Great American Ball Park when the Melody Makers sing our national anthem before the Reds host the Marlins on Friday, 05/04/18 at 7:10 p.m., then plan to stay for the post-game fireworks! What a great night for our families to sit together for a fun night downtown. Get your $20 discounted tickets (regularly $26) by turning in this form, found on the Melody Makers’ homepage, to Kim Cassity by 04/27/18


Mrs. Zwarg

A CHCA Team for the Cincinnati Kids Flying Pig Marathon is now forming. The required registration is on the Flying Pig Website and ends 04/22/18. Click here to sign up.  After completing the first 25 miles of the marathon, in small increments and at your own pace, you will join the Flying Pig Kids’ Marathon 26th Mile on Saturday, 05/05/18 at 12:00 p.m. at Cincinnati’s riverfront. This is a special event designed for children 5-12 and their fitness buddies to cover the final marathon mile on the real Flying Pig Marathon course. After joining, you will receive an email with additional team details. Contact Susan Zwarg@chca-oh.org or meganboni@hotmail.com with questions. Come join the fun at the “Finish Swine”!

This 07/09/18-07/13/18 camp teaches the Google Design process as students identify a problem about which they are passionate and design a solution and an app to make it possible. Parents can watch their child present their problem, solution, and app at the end of camp celebration.

With 5 full days of FUN and an option for aftercare, Laffalot presents a program with tons of games including dodge ball, floor hockey, basketball, kickball, soccer, wall climbing, and much, much more! SpringHill Day Camp (Gr 1-6)
CHCA is once again partnering with Montgomery Community Church for the 07/09/18 - 07/13/18 camp which includes small group Bible teaching, high-energy large group sessions, and adventure such as archery, bungee trampoline, camp songs, climbing wall, crafts, and more. Congrats to this week's Beacon of the Week-the CHCA Beak Squad! The team made it to the finals at the Miami Valley Regional this past weekend and earned a spot in the World Championship competition that will be held in April. Read more about their accomplishments here.
