This year we breathed a sigh of relief to see the end of construction and the fruits of our recent capital campaign. New learning spaces opened with student-centered teaching and learning in mind. As we began this year, we were excited to see how these new learning spaces would be used to foster creativity and build a culture of innovation that transforms learning.  To read more, click on the title.

An email went out on Tuesday, 12/15/17 with details about registering for Youth Spring Sports!  Grades K-6 register in UltraCamp.  Grade 3-6 Lacrosse registration is already closed.  Grade K-6 Track & Field registration closes Friday, 02/09/18.  As always, check the athletic website for more info and important dates!

Join us and invite a friend or two for our upcoming Prospective Parent Coffee Event for families with children entering into Preschool and/or Kindergarten!  This event will be held on Thursday, 01/25/18 from 8:45 - 10:30 a.m. in the Blake Lindner Thompson Early Childhood Learning Center.  Guests will have the opportunity to engage personally with our faculty, staff and facilities as they walk the halls, experience engaging learning enviornments, hear from leaders of the school, and learn what makes CHCA so special.

Congratulations to this week's Beacons of the Week-the cast and crew of The Lion King JR.! Directed by John and Kristie Jung, Dani D'Angora, Della Enns, and Jim Jung, this grade 5-8 production was outstanding! Fine Arts

ArtBeat auditions begin in just two weeks! Deadline for registration and delivery of signed returned forms: PK-Gr 8-Friday, 01/26/18; Gr 9-12-Friday, 02/02/18. Auditions will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis. The ArtBeat 2018 homepage is online and audition registrations are open. Audition dates are 02/01/18, 02/05/18, and 02/08/18-4:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Students are limited to one solo audition. Students must complete an online audition request for every audition.

Jennie Allen walks through key passages in the Book of John to demonstrate how only Jesus is enough. We don't have to prove anything because Jesus has already proven everything. Dr. Dean Nicholas, Upper School Principal

The Principal Study with Dr. Nicholas will be meeting each Wednesday this semester from 9:30a.m. - 10:30a.m. beginning 01/17/18 in the Simpson Innovation Space (2nd floor) at the MSL High School building.  This year we will be studying the Gospel of Matthew.  Matthew was written to Jewish believers to proclaim that Jesus was their Messiah.  We will study how this “Jewish Gospel” shows Jesus to be the fulfillment of Old Testament Scriptures.  Bring your Bibles as we explore God’s word!  Please see https://www.chca-oh.org/my-all-school/chapel for details.

Submit your reenrollment contract by the 02/14/18 deadline to pay the reduced reenrollment deposit and secure your student's enrollment for next year.
