Melissa's mission is to ensure our international students have the essential opportunities to enhance their overall academic success and spiritual growth at CHCA. Over the last decade, Melissa’s family has hosted many international students allowing her to cultivate meaningful relationships world-wide. As an award winning scholar at the University of Arkansas, she focused on making a positive difference through education. Through her diverse range of teaching GEDO2, ESL, and GT students in secondary academia, Melissa has facilitated and developed curriculum to meet the unique needs of a variety of students. Melissa is dedicated to helping others in the community and has served at many non-profits. As the former Vice President of Development for JLNWA, an organization focused on empowering women, she brings the experience of successfully executing multiple fundraising events each year. She sees the potential of each student and challenges them to reach for that stronger version of themselves.

CHCA ISP offers a different level of service ...

Student integration

Meaningful relationships are the key that unlocks new opportunities. As an international student at CHCA, our Engagement Coordinator will help you find ways to grow and share your talents and interests, while you become part of the student community.

Tailored Academic Oversight

We recognize the necessary learning beyond textbooks required for students to be successful in a second language and culture. Through our Foundations class, academic coaching, teacher communication, and integration programs, we create an environment where every student can experience success.

Detailed Monitoring and Support

Navigating international study can be challenging, so we are here to help. We connect with families via email, phone calls, and video conferences through every step of the application process. Once you arrive in Cincinnati, the International Office is available in person or via a quick text to help you navigate daily life in your new home and school.
