8th Grade Visit Days 

The Visit Day Schedule

Here’s what our 8th Grade Visit Day schedule entails. 

• 11:00 a.m.: Arrive at MSL by bus, munch on a special lunch, and visit the teaching kitchen/greenhouse 
• 11:30 a.m.: Head into the Lindner Theater to hear from Mrs. Wilkowski (principal) and Eagle Ambassadors 
• 12:00 p.m.: Tour MSL to get familiar with the building 
• 12:20–1:20 p.m.: Sit in on four academic classes in session and see what learning is like at the high school level 
• 1:20–2:20 p.m.: Meet with four programs of interest to learn about opportunities available in Grades 9–12  
• 2:25 p.m.: Return to Founders’ by bus in time for pickup 

Coach's Lunch Opportunity 

The week before 8th Grade Visit Days, students who express an interest in Athletics will also be given the opportunity to have lunch at Founders’ Campus with the coaches of their preferred sport. If your student is interested in joining a team, encourage them to attend one of these lunches!

October 15–17: 8th Grade Visit Days 

November 9: CHCA’s Fall Open House 

• Join us from 9:30–10:30 a.m. for a special meet and greet with Mrs. Wilkowski (Principal at MSL), tour of the high school, and connection time with teachers and coaches. 

November 15: Deadline for ISEE test registration (only for those students interested in qualifying for the Cum Laude Scholarship) 

December 7: ISEE test day for Cum Laude Scholarship  

January 7: Re-enrollment opens for current CHCA students 

• You have until January 31 to re-enroll. If you re-enroll after this time, your student’s space in the class is not guaranteed.  

• Note: You do not need to re-apply to CHCA. As an existing CHCA family, your student needs only to re-enroll. 

February 1: Beacon Scholarship application and recommendations due (only for those students interested in applying for the Beacon Scholarship).  

• Also, beginning in February, re-enrolled students will complete a class interest form for the 2025–26 school year, which their Freshman Counselor will use to create their class schedule. Families are welcome to meet with their student’s Freshman Counselor in the spring, if interested. 

• Summer courses will also become available for registration. Spaces are limited, so register early. 

April: Intersession options for the 2025–26 school year released, along with their submission deadlines 

May: Summer sports information released 

June: Summer courses and summer sports training begin 

August: Freshman Orientation 

• Class schedules will be given to students at orientation.
