Young Authors Club (remove for 24-25)

Grade levels:	4-6
Purpose and Format:	Provide writers with engaging and cooperative experiences that will enhance writing skills, build confidence, spark writing voice, and give audience opportunities. Using a writing workshop format, students have opportunities to choose their topics, brainstorm with others, write, revise their craft, and share their writing.
Months:	Session 1: 11/09/23 – 12/14/23 (no meeting 11/23/23) Session 2: 01/18/24 - 02/29/24 (no meeting 02/15/24) Students are not required to attend every session, but highly encouraged to get the most out of the writing process. Please email Regan.Vollette@chca-oh.org if your student will not be in attendance.
Practice Schedule:	Thursdays, 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.

Anticipated # of Students:	20
Expected Parent Involvement:	Provide an after school snack for your child. Writing journals will be provided.
