Grade Levels: K- 6
Purpose:

Inspire kids to develop soccer skills and to be safe, inclusive, imaginative, and growth-minded as they enjoy discovering new ways to have fun with a ball anywhere.

What is street soccer?

What makes Street Soccer fun?

  • Versatile and adaptable to various numbers of players and playing areas.
  • Played with adaptable rules that are most similar to Futsal.
  • Played on any surface (grass, cement, etc.).
  • Played with goals made from various materials (cones, backpacks, rocks, socks, etc.),
  • Goals vary in size, and can be protected by a keeper or not.
  • Played with a ball of any size or material (Pelé played with a ball made from rags, and children around the word make balls from plastic bags and other materials)
  • Street soccer can be played virtually anywhere, any time.
  • Focuses on fun, flashy skills to beat opponents and score goals.
  • Variations include panna competitions (tunnels) and challenges to make games fun and competitive.
  • Many of the greatest players grew up playing street soccer for fun before they became legends.
