Important Dates

  • 08/16/17 - Course Options announced to current US 8 students and on website
  • Starting 08/16/17 at 1:00 p.m. - Online Course Optioning opens
  • 08/24/17 (noon) - Deadline to submit printed confirmation email with the required parent signature and be considered on time
  • 08/28/17 - Parents receive email confirmation on tentative student placement and registration opens
  • 08/31/17 - Deadline to complete online registration and pay deposit to secure place in assigned course
  • 09/01/17 - If needed, students in wait list courses but not registered replaced with wait listed students
  • Starting 09/08/17 - $25 Late Registration Fee applied to all students who have not completed their online registration
  • 09/22/17 - Automatic balance payment for all courses (Reminder sent 10 days prior)

Grade 7

10/31/17 - 11/03/17

All grade 7 students go through character strength training facilitated by the Mayerson Foundation to learn about strengths within themselves and in each other. They are also led through several service immersion experiences while learning how to leverage their God-given character strengths, with organizations such as the Restavek Freedom Foundation and a variety of social service agencies throughout the community. When students return to campus, they engage in reflection activities including an opportunity to share why their work mattered, and where they saw a character strength displayed in someone they served.   • All grade 7 Change Our World week activities are in Cincinnati with a variety of on-campus and off-campus locations; transportation is provided to all off-campus locations
  • All students will spend 2 1/2 days in similar but not identical service immersions with a variety of Cincinnati organizations
  • Lunch:
    • Tuesday - Students bring a portable, packed lunch

    • Wednesday - School will provide lunch
    • Thursday- Students bring a portable, packed lunch

    • Friday- School will provide lunch
  • Cost: $30 covers fees, supplies, transportation costs
