“Win twice.” It’s something you’ll hear our players and coaches say before games to remind us why we play: we desire to win not only on the scoreboard, but also by bringing glory to God. How do our athletes do this? By being competitive but having perspective; by winning humbly and losing gracefully; by being kind to their opponents as well as their teammates; and by having a good attitude that reflects positively on them and CHCA.

We value developing the whole child at CHCA, and know that participating in athletics does so much more for our students than just helping them have healthy bodies. Along with fostering physical strength, endurance and talent, they learn the value of teamwork, build character, and ultimately, see their contribution to their sport as playing for an "audience of one," Christ.

Our coaches encourage our athletes to strive for excellence while keeping athletics in its rightful place in the life of a student. We also want them to realize that in sports – as well as in life – success is not defined by how many “W’s” are in the win column, but rather by giving your best effort with Christian character.

CHCA offers a wide variety of sports ranging from the elementary intramural program to high school interscholastic competition, including 22 varsity sports. Because CHCA is big enough to compete yet small enough that everyone gets to play, nearly all of our students play a sport at least once in their school career, and many play sports in multiple seasons. We’ve fielded teams that have won state and district titles, and our athletes have gone on to swim, run track and play football, tennis, baseball and soccer for Division I colleges.

CHCA is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) along with being a member of the Miami Valley Conference (MVC). Other schools in the MVC include Seven Hills, Cincinnati Country Day, Summit Country Day, Lockland High School, Cincinnati Christian Schools, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place, North College Hill, New Miami High School and Clark Montessori. Our athletes benefit greatly from the support of our Athletic Boosters organization, whose goal is to provide all students the opportunity to participate in top-notch athletic programs as well as access to quality recreational facilities through both financial and fan support.

Sports are a fun and enriching part of school life at CHCA. So the question is, who will you be playing for?
