xAmerican Heritage Girls (AHG)

Grade Levels:1-6*
Purpose:AHG is a Christ-centered scouting organization dedicated to building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. The organization offers merit badge programs, service projects, girl leadership opportunities and outdoor experiences to its members.

Months:Mid September – May
Additional council-sponsored camping activities are available during the summer.

Meeting Schedule:
  • Full Troop Meeting (all grades) - 2nd Monday (September - May) from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Founders' Campus Band Room
  • Squads meet individually 1 additional time/month as scheduled by each squad leader - locations vary
  • Additional troop activities and optional council-sponsored social and service events occur during school-year weekends

Cost:National Yearly Registration Fees:

$150 for students new to AHG
$139 for returning 4th graders
$111 for all other returning students
Other potential costs include: council social, camping activities, and badges

Anticipated # of Students:40
Expected Parent Involvement:This is a parent led organization and parent participation is the key to its success. When a girl registers, a parent should be ready to volunteer sometime during the year.

How Do You Register:
  1. Obtain registration papers from sponsor.
  2. Submit papers and payment at EBL Elementary gym on the first day of school, the front office at your daughter's building, or at our kick off meeting in early September. Contact sponsor and watch Campus Connection for more information.

    Leader’s daughters and previous AHG members receive priority registration.

Register by:The first week of school. Registration requests are accepted for 1st graders and squads without leaders. Once volunteer leaders are trained, squad activities can begin.
