Invest in something that lastsWhat was your CHCA experience like? Do you remember conversations with your Christian Studies teacher, swapping stories with friends at football games, or even just spending time talking in the hallways before the first bell rang? In an age where we can talk to each other on Facebook, Twitter and Blackberries, it’s nice to know that today’s CHCA students are still communicating the old fashioned way. They may have access to the latest technology – Mr. Baker’s AP U.S. History students regularly blog with him about current events and Mrs. Bremer’s Video Editing class uses a green room that would make an L.A. filmmaker jealous – but they are still conversing, discussing and debating with teachers and each other in and out of class.
Ten years from now, those students aren’t going to remember text messages they sent, but they will remember the impact a particular chapel speaker, coach, teacher or friend had on them. They probably won’t be able to recall a Twitter update they received but they won’t forget their Intersession trips to Chicago, New Mexico, India or Costa Rica.
We all want to invest in the things that will last, and a CHCA education is one of those things. If you want to help the next generation of students enjoy the kind of experiences that create lifelong memories, please consider a gift to the Annual Giving Campaign. Your donation of any amount makes a difference for our students, teachers, coaches and classrooms.
