After PromOur mission is to host a supervised all-night, substance-free party following prom that provides entertainment in a safe atmosphere that thrills CHCA students and their parents. (Check out photos from previous years.) To do this, we will:
- Choose and decorate a facility that is centrally located
- Offer refreshments, entertainment, door prizes and gifts
- Solicit area businesses and merchants for donations
- Solicit parents for volunteer time
- Develop policies and permission forms designed to keep students safe and help to legally protect volunteers and the school
- Honor and recognize supporters and volunteers publicly
While this is a school sponsored event, it is parent-planned and funded. The Steering Committee is comprised of the MSL HS Principal, Assistant Principal, and Secretary along with many parent volunteers on 9 different After Prom committees. Every fall there's a call-out for any high school parents to join committees. Parents to help with atmosphere, chaperone, and restoration volunteer jobs on prom weekend are solicited in early March.
