A warm welcome to those of you who are new to our CHCA community, as well as to all returning families! This is a very different year at CHCA, in that this time last year we were just beginning the construction of our new spaces (with thanks to our “Light the Way” capital campaign). SchoolMessenger is the system CHCA uses to notify parents of all-school emergency broadcasts (i.e. snow days) and other relevant communication.  Don’t miss important school information via text--make sure your cell phone number is on file. Access SchoolMessenger to establish your preferences. Once your number is on file, opt in to receive text message notifications by texting Y to 67587.

With the installation of the new alley and parking lot fencing, all Achiever Program parents must check in at the front desk.  For parents who have students on the playground, you will exit the side entry doors to enter the playground and re-entry to the building will be only through the front entrance.

In an effort to maintain the safest environment for our students, CHCA is making a change for the 2017-18 school year in its volunteer policy.  ALL CHCA volunteers must be fingerprinted prior to the first time volunteering.  This includes classroom helpers, front desk volunteers, party helpers, field trip drivers, and regular visitors to our buildings, as well as volunteers for events such as Fall Festival and ArtBeat. It only takes about five minutes and only needs to be done once every five years.  To schedule an appointment, contact Mrs. Ferguson at sarah.ferguson@chca-oh.org.  Thank you to all of our awesome volunteers!

The Armleder Annual Giving Fund goal is to have 100% participation by Wednesday, 11/15/17.  If you contribute before 10/06/17, you will receive 40 tickets to the Homecoming Festival—a $10 value, AND students will earn an out-of-uniform week!  To participate, you can use the envelope provided at Meet the Teacher Night or go online to give or pledge.

US 9-12 students should stop by the Miracle Commons front desk to pick up their copy. After 09/07/17 additional copies will be for sale at the Scrip Shop for $15 each.
