The Lower E concert scheduled for 12/06/17 is rescheduled for 3/15/17. Please join us for a special Advent Chapel service on 12/15/17.
Once again, grade 6 will be combining with the Founders’ Campus grade 6 choir for a caroling trip to the Esther Marie Hatton Women’s Shelter and Vine Street on Friday, 12/08/17. Details for the trip can be found by clicking here.
In an effort to maintain the safest environment for our students, CHCA has made a change for the 2017-18 school year in its volunteer policy. ALL CHCA volunteers must be fingerprinted PRIOR to the first time volunteering. This includes classroom helpers, front desk volunteers, party helpers, field trip drivers, and regular visitors to our buildings, as well as volunteers for events such as Fall Festival and ArtBeat. It only takes about five minutes and only needs to be done once every five years. To schedule an appointment, contact Mrs. Ferguson at sarah.ferguson@chca-oh.org. Each year we review our merit scholarships to ensure we recognize our students who excel academically and/or make an impact on our school community. The Cum Laude Scholarships are significant awards that recognize academically gifted students with proven achievement. Current students in grades 6-8 who would like to be considered must take the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE). The exam is offered by the Admissions Office on the following dates:
- Saturday, 12/02/17 (registration deadline 11/11/17*)
- Saturday, 2/10/18 (registration deadline 1/20/18*)
- Saturday, 4/7/18 (registration deadline 3/17/18*)

If school is officially delayed or closed or students will be released early for weather, the school messaging system will be used to contact families using the phone number(s) you provided when opting into the system. Local news and radio stations will also be notified and communicating that information for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
- Notifications of Change to Contact Information: Email Registrar@chca-oh.org to update contact phone numbers used by our school messaging system.
- For a delay: Armleder students may arrive at 9:30 a.m. for 9:50 a.m. K-6 start time and 10:00 a.m. start time for PK. Students may not arrive prior to 9:30 a.m.
- For an unplanned early release due to weather, the school messaging system will be used. Please note that there will be no after-school care on early release days.

A warm shout out to this week's Beacons of the Week - the Upper School 9-12 Student Council - who successfully led a drive for Thanksgiving Baskets! VP of Community Service, junior Leon Bao, led the charge; and thanks to the generosity of many of our upper school students and teachers, 75 baskets were put together for Butler County MRDD and L.I.F.E. Food Pantry in Loveland. An extra shout out to Mr. Hilderbrand's class, who donated the most baskets filled not only with the necessities for a Thanksgiving dinner, but extras such as laundry detergent and paper products.
There will be a rummage sale again this school year held at the Upper School Gym on 04/28/18, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please start saving your donations!
