Upper 7-8 Information Cindy Kuroff NJHS Toy Drive for City Gospel Mission, 12/04-08/17! NJHS will be collecting NEW toy donations ($15 minimum value). Students are encouraged to bring toys they would enjoy! Spirit points up for grabs and a catered lunch for SDL bringing in most donations! Tickets will be on sale during lunch 11/29/17-12/01/17 for $30. Cindy Kuroff We have the opportunity to host on Tuesday, 11/28/17, an assembly for our Upper school 7-8 students from 10:30-11:20 am. The presenter is Stephen Smith who has formerly been the Director of Relationship Marketing for CBTS, but is now independent. More can be accessed on his site, www.awiredfamily.org The title of his presentation is, “Social Media: Your Digital Tattoo”. The purpose of the presentation is to help our students understand more fully the consequences of their social media activity. A parent information session was held at the high school in September on the same day Mr. Smith presented to 9-12 students.
Cindy Kuroff Winter Social Tuesday, 12/19/17 immediately following exam dismissal at 12:00 p.m. Students will be transported by bus to Fountain Square to skate. Box lunches will be provided from Panera upon arrival. Tickets will be sold 12/11-13/17 at lunch for $15 (covers Panera box lunch and transport). Students will need money for skate rental and Graeter's if they'd like. Students will return to school in time for 3:10 p.m. dismissal. The Cum Laude Scholarships are significant awards which recognize academically gifted students with proven achievement. Students only need to be present for exams if they have an exam for that bell; for example if your student has lunch fourth bell they do not need to be at school during the second exam period on Thursday. Please note there will not be bus service at early dismissal time for the Upper 9-12 students. Students will be kept in their exam rooms for the entire exam period. Please be sure your student brings quiet reading or studying in case they finish an exam early.

WEDNESDAY, 12/20/17 EXAM MAKE-UP DAY: Wednesday is designated as a possible snow make-up day. In the case of snow on 12/14/17, 12/15/17, 12/18/17, or 12/19/17, Wednesday 12/20/17 will be used to administer exams for bells 5 and 6 which were pushed back due to the snow day. If there is no snow day that moves exams to Wednesday, students do not need to come to school on Wednesday, 12/20/17.
