What's New at CHCA
Academics
Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy gives students Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 preparation for college success in a Christ-centered environment. The lives of our staff, the personality of our campus, the criteria which measure our educational program are a reflection of Christ’s values and teachings. A CHCA education allows young people to face an ever-changing world grounded in unchanging wisdom. CHCA academic programs reflect high standards of congruency, alignment, and integration: congruency with our mission and core values, congruency with the best of published national standards in the academic disciplines, congruency with current research on child development, internal alignment vertically K-12 and horizontally across disciplines, and integration of Biblical principles, technology, and information literacy, and proven methods for learning. Integrated within each discipline are the Biblical principles that mark our uniqueness and call as a school. Our worldview is Christian and our academic programs reflect this in a vital and systemic manner. One hundred percent of graduates enter four year colleges or universities equipped to succeed. Modern, well-equipped facilities provide in each building a library, gymnasium, cafeteria, computer lab, art room with kiln, full-time nurse, and welcoming classrooms and gathering spaces. Parents are active supporters and partners in their child’s education and are honored by educators.
Athletics
At Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, emphasis is placed upon developing the “whole” student; that is, body, mind, and spirit. Athletics provide excellent opportunities for teamwork to develop sportsmanship as well as leadership skills. Also, it is on athletic teams that lifelong friendships can begin. Perhaps as important as friendship is the character building which can occur at an institution such as CHCA. It is here that student athletes are introduced to the concept that athletics can provide a wonderful venue from which Christian character and behavior can be demonstrated.
Fine Arts
The Fine Arts Program at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is an important and vital part of our school. Through our multi-faceted arts program, we offer a full range of visual arts, vocal and instrumental music and drama classes that increase in scope and depth as our students progress through our programs.
Beyond the classroom, CHCA students have many opportunities to further develop their skills, talent and enjoyment of the fine arts through after-school art enrichment, musicals and plays, performing choirs, an improv group, art and drama clubs and at the high school more in-depth two week winter term opportunities.
Service
The spirit of community service at CHCA reflects our committed desire to serve Christ and grow in faith through serving others. The life of Christ and His teachings lead us to the undeniable truth that our lives are to be actively involved in loving and serving one another, especially the poor and disenfranchised. In this spirit of service, then, we seek to provide our students and families with relevant and age appropriate service opportunities from K-12th grades.
